
Guidelines for Authors
Collaborations received must meet the following requirements:
Articles. They must be original and unpublished research results or theoretical discussions, which are not simultaneously postulated in other journals; with a maximum of three authors; contain a title in Spanish and English of no more than 15 words, a summary of a maximum of 150 words in Spanish and English; include five key words in Spanish and English; be written double-spaced, with 12-point Times New Roman font; Its minimum length will be 5,000 and maximum 10,000 words, including footnotes and references.
Book Reviews. With the same technical characteristics required for the articles; Its length will be between 1,300 and 2,000 words.
The tables, charts or graphs must be sent in a separate file, in the program in which they were prepared (Excel, Word, SPSS, Stata...), duly numbered; and indicate in the text the place where they should be placed. Note the source consulted. If you include photographs, cartographies or illustrations, attach the original file and a high-resolution PDF version.
Attach contact information and your orcid.org account in a resume summary of the author(s) that does not exceed ten lines.
Collaborations must be sent through the Open Journal System (ojs) platform www.cartaeconomicaregional.cucea.udg.mx, where they can follow up on the evaluation process.
Works can be submitted in Spanish or English.
The APA reference system will be used for citations:
- Book with an author. Surname(s), first initial(s) (year of publication). Book title in italics. City of publication: publisher(s) or institution(s) that publishes it.
- Chapter in book. Surname(s), first initial(s) (year of publication). Article title. In Surname(s), initial(s) of the first name(s) and (ed. or eds./comp. or comp.), title of the book in italics (pp. it covers). City of publication: publisher(s) or institution(s) that publishes it.
- Articles in magazine. Last name(s), first initial(s) (year of publication). Article title. Name of the journal in italics, vol.(number), pages or section(s) covered by the article.
- Article in electronic magazine with doi. Surnames, N. N., Surnames, N. N., and Surnames, N. N. (Year). Article title. Magazine title, vol(no.), pp.-pp. doi: xxxxxxxxxxxx
- Article in electronic magazine with URL without doi. Surnames, N. N., Surnames, N. N., and Surnames, N. N. (Year). Article title. Magazine title, vol(no.), pp.-pp. Retrieved from http://www.xxxxxx
- Electronic pages. They will be registered as a periodical publication. The date of consultation, which in no case will be omitted, will appear in square brackets after the electronic address. A single link to an electronic page will not be considered a reference.
- Interviews. Start with the phrase Interview with Name(s) and Surname of the interviewee, position or activity performed, city or country where it took place, complete date.
- Thesis. Last name(s), first name(s) (year of printing). Thesis title in italics. Bachelor's, master's or doctoral thesis, educational institution. City where the institution is located.
- Presentations. Last name(s), first initial(s) (year of filing). Title of the presentation. Paper presented on behalf of the event, city or country, pages or section consulted.
Latinisms. Except for the Latin abbreviation et al., Regional Economic Charter does not use op. cit., id., ibid., nor its unbound form ibid., therefore, when necessary, the reference must be repeated. Nor should cf. nor cf., but the Spanish form see.
Ethical standards:
1- It is the responsibility of the authors to declare the authenticity of their article, if the content sent to Carta Económica Regional is not their property, it is their responsibility to ensure that they have the authorization of its use and its correct citation.
2- The articles submitted to Carta Económica Regional must contain sufficient references to cite and replicate their content, in the same way, the authors must ensure that they provide the detailed data and references for use and citation in other publications, if not, the author must explain the reasons why such information cannot be provided.
3- In order to avoid fraudulent practices, each article sent to Carta Económica Regional will be subjected to the plagiarism test through the iThenticate system, with the understanding that, if plagiarism is found, the article sent will be rejected.
4- Carta Económica Regional does not charge charges for shipping, item processing, embargo, or any other type of APC
