Abstract
En sentido amplio, la política industrial incluye todos los programas y prácticas que afectan significativamente el desempeño industrial; su concepción debe incluir al mismo tiempo el desarrollo de políticas de financiamiento, educativa, ecológica, fiscal, de creación y modernización de infraestructura, y de comercio exterior, por lo que no se le puede imaginar fuera del ámbito de la gestión gubernamental. En un sentido estrecho y operacional, se limita a programas de gobierno y prácticas cuyo propósito explícito sea promover la competitividad individual doméstica o internacional de las firmas.
