The Chamber of Deputies and public expenditure in social development in Mexico, 1990-2013
Abstract
It analyzes the Project of Budget of Expenditures and the Budget of Expenditures of the Federation of the Branch 20 Social Development and functions, Regional Development and Supply and Social Assistance, with the objective of determining the role of the Chamber of Deputies in the possible conformation of the budget political cycle (bpc). Among the results it is found that the governments without majority have had the capacity to approve the budgets of exits with a greater legislative participation when making amendments in the initiatives presented by the Executive during the period of analysis. Also, mostly these amendments represent increases in projects, and from the perspective of the bpc, only the little significant increase of 2006 and the decrease made in 2012 are inconsistent.References
