Los clusters en la hortofruticultura: oportunidad para fomentar el desarrollo rural en México
Abstract
Por las ventajas comparativas que se presentan en México,y dado su mayor valor agregado, la agricultura de frutas yhortalizas se convierte en una alternativa importante para gruposeconómicos del sector rural. Sin embargo, las actividades eneste sector se encuentran muy desvinculadas entre sí, lo cualimpide darle mayor valor agregado a los productos, así comoingresar a los mercados en mejores condiciones competitivas.Ante tal situación, se hace imprescindible aplicar en este sectoralgunos de los avances que la economía industrial ha logrado,en particular la acción conjunta de los agentes económicosparticipantes, tanto del Estado como de la población engeneral, para generar clusters (cúmulos, circuitos, redes,etc.), que permitan vincular la producción primaria con lasmanufacturas y los servicios colaterales, para así obtenerventajas competitivas y no sólo comparativas e incrementar elacceso, con mejores perspectivas, a los mercados nacionales einternacionales.Those authors who have publications with this magazine accept the following terms:
