Abstract

Desde la década de los sesenta, la dinámica industrial en los países avanzados comenzó a manifestar signos evidentes de estancamiento. Fue entonces cuando Estados Unidos y Europa propiciaron la mo­dernización de su producción mediante el uso extensivo de crédito y de insumos industriales para el campo. El desarrollo de su agricultura no sólo dio un impulso vigoroso a la industria, sino que convirtió a esos países en los principales exportadores de alimen­tos, desplazando del mercado internacional a las na­ciones en vías de desarrollo.
