INVESTIGACIÓN DEMOGRÁFICA EN EL OCCIDENTE DE MÉXICO
Abstract
El objetivo de este documento es exponer, de una manera general, opiniones y experiencias respecto a la situación actual de la investigación y la docencia en el área de población, así como sus perspectivas, en los estados que conforman el occidente de México.En primer lugar, es necesario señalar que no están disponibles todavía bases de datos actualizadas y sistematizadas sobre los centros de investigación que se ocupan del estudio de la población como actividad principal o en forma secundaria; tampoco sobre los proyectos realizados y en proceso, el nivel académico de los investigadores y los resultados obtenidos; por ello, no se puede analizar objetivamente la realidad de la investigación y docencia en este campo.References
