Abstract
Como es tradición en México, después de cada periodo gubernamental viene una crisis económica, y el sexenio 1988-1994 no fue la excepción. Luego de una administración que dijo que el país ya formaba parte del primer mundo, inició el siguiente gobierno con una devaluación del peso en diciembre de 1994, la cual generó a su vez un incremento en los precios y en las tasas de interés durante 1995. Ante tal situación, los deudores de la banca tuvieron problemas para cumplir sus compromisos con las instituciones financieras, lo cual provocó un aumento en la cartera vencida de los bancos.Those authors who have publications with this magazine accept the following terms:
