Abstract
Unos meses antes de la desintegración de la Unión Soviética, Boris Yeltsin afirmó que no era deseable entrar al siglo XXI con una ideología del siglo XIX: el socialismo. En realidad, la verdadera amenaza para la humanidad es ingresar al ya próximo tercer milenio con una ideología del siglo XVIII: el liberalismo económico.Las teorías de los grandes economistas clásicos, levantadas de entre los muertos por Milton Friedman y sus secuaces, golpearon duramente a numerosos pueblos cuyos gobiernos -presionados por las instituciones financieras internacionales y por élites nativas cuyos intereses e ideología coinciden con los del capital corporativo transnacional- aplicaron ortodoxamente las recetas de estabilización y ajuste económico sugeridas por los Chicago boyse impuestas mediante el gran garrote del Fondo Monetario Internacional, del Banco Mundial y de los intereses oligárquicos.Those authors who have publications with this magazine accept the following terms:
